Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated film Jailer 2 is reportedly set for a theatrical release on September 11 this year.
According to reports, the makers are confident about finalising the release date ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. “This will lead up to the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 14, giving the film an extended weekend and holiday run,” the source stated.
The film recently completed shooting, with the cast and crew marking the occasion through a cake-cutting celebration. Production house Sun Pictures shared pictures and videos from the event on social media.
“Alapparai Kelappurom, Thalaivaru Nerandharam! It’s a wrap for #Jailer2,” the production house wrote while announcing the shoot completion.
Meanwhile, a leaked video from the film surfaced online recently, prompting the makers to issue a warning against sharing the clip. “We would like to bring to your attention that a Video clip from the sets of ‘Jailer 2’ is currently being circulated on social media platforms,” the statement said.
The makers also requested fans and media pages not to repost the footage, adding that their anti-piracy team is taking action against accounts spreading the leaked content.
