Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster Animal is gearing up for a grand return to the big screen—this time in Japan. Nearly two years after its original release, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer is all set to premiere in Japanese theatres on February 13, 2026, marking the film’s official entry into a market that has recently embraced Indian cinema with renewed enthusiasm.
The announcement was made by Bhadrakali Films on X (formerly Twitter), along with a special poster created for the Japanese audience. The caption read, “Kono otoko wa Darenimo Tomerarenai,” translating to “No one can stop this man.” The makers described the film as one of the most talked-about and debated cinematic experiences, signalling confidence in its global appeal.

Released in December 2023, Animal shattered box office records, collecting ₹553 crore net in India and ₹915 crore gross worldwide. It ended its run as the 9th highest-grossing Indian film of all time. With the upcoming Japanese release, the film now stands a strong chance of crossing the coveted ₹1000-crore milestone.
The Japan release also reflects the growing popularity of Indian films in the country, where audiences have shown increasing interest in intense dramas and character-driven stories like Animal.
