Sharing the update on Instagram, Ranveer Singh teased fans with the message “Toofan ke pehle… aandhi aayegi,” announcing that the film would screen in more than 1,250 shows across over 1,000 screens worldwide.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the original film first released in December and became one of the biggest box-office hits in recent years. The action thriller reportedly earned around ₹1,300 crore globally, including nearly ₹1,000 crore from the Indian market.

According to the makers, the re-release will be held across roughly 500 theatres worldwide. Around 250 screens in India began screenings on March 12, while another 250 overseas screens will start from March 13. The strategy aims to build anticipation for the sequel, which is scheduled to release worldwide on March 19.

Global Screening
In North America alone, the film will return to theatres on nearly 185 screens, reflecting strong demand among international audiences. Special premiere screenings of the sequel have also been planned in the United States and Canada on March 18, a day before its global release.

Unlike the first instalment, which was released only in Hindi, the sequel will also be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, expanding its reach to a wider audience across India.

The sequel will explore the rise of Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari in Karachi’s underworld while tracing his earlier identity as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

The upcoming film also stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, and is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.

With its limited theatrical run before the sequel’s release, the re-release is expected to reignite audience interest in the franchise and boost momentum ahead of the next chapter.
