Paris: In a dramatic turn of events, American rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Paris on Friday following a heated altercation with a security guard outside the George V hotel.
Scott was reportedly uncooperative when authorities requested that he submit to a breathalyzer test. Earlier that evening, the rapper had attended a basketball game, where he witnessed the French team’s victory over Germany in the semi-final of the Olympics basketball tournament.
This arrest marks the second such incident for Scott in recent months. In June, he was detained in Miami Beach for disorderly intoxication and trespassing after a dispute with the crew of a chartered yacht. He was released on bail after paying fines of $500 for disorderly conduct and $150 for trespassing.
Scott is currently in the midst of his Circus Maximus Tour, with upcoming stops in Latin America, New Zealand, and Australia. The tour will conclude with a performance in Las Vegas later this fall.
