RCB Eye Winning Run As LSG Seek Revival In Bengaluru Clash

Date:

Bengaluru: Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will look to extend their strong run when they face Lucknow Super Giants in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday.

The fixture pits one of the tournament’s most explosive batting line-ups against a disciplined bowling unit that has kept opposition totals in check. RCB are placed third, boosted by a high-scoring win over Mumbai Indians, and have crossed the 200-run mark in all their matches so far.

Under captain Rajat Patidar, RCB have looked a settled side, with consistent contributions from Virat Kohli and finishers such as Tim David. However, concerns remain over their bowling, particularly at the death, where they have struggled to contain runs.

LSG, meanwhile, sit seventh and will aim to bounce back after a loss to Gujarat Titans. Despite an inconsistent campaign, their bowling attack, led by Mohammed Shami, has prevented opponents from breaching the 200-run mark this season.

Their batting, however, has underperformed, with overseas players such as Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran yet to make a significant impact. The side will look to captain Rishabh Pant and emerging players like Mukul Choudhary to turn things around.
