Bengaluru: In-form Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will aim to continue their strong run when they take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
RCB have been one of the standout teams this season, winning four of their five matches to sit second on the points table. Their batting unit, led by Virat Kohli and captain Rajat Patidar, has been in strong form, while the bowling attack featuring Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya has added balance to the side.
In contrast, DC have had a mixed campaign, registering two wins in four matches. Despite having experienced players like David Miller and Tristan Stubbs, inconsistency has been a concern. The return of KL Rahul to his home ground in Bengaluru is expected to be a key factor as the side looks to regain momentum.
RCB are likely to field a strong XI featuring Phil Salt, Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal and Patidar in the top order, with Jitesh Sharma, Tim David and Krunal Pandya providing depth. Their bowling attack could include Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Rasikh Salam Dar, with Suyash Sharma as an impact option.
DC, on the other hand, may rely on a lineup comprising Pathum Nissanka, Rahul, Sameer Rizvi and skipper Axar Patel, alongside Miller and Stubbs in the middle order. Their bowling unit is expected to include Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan and Mukesh Kumar, with Ashutosh Sharma likely to be used as an impact player.
With form and home advantage on their side, RCB will look to continue their winning run, while DC will aim to overcome inconsistency and climb up the points table.
