Rahul Dev Burman has played an important role in the history of Indian music and its evolution. The music legend was nicknamed Pancham, as he used to cry in five different notes when he was a child. He died due to a heart attack in 1994. He composed music for 331 films. He married Asha Bhosle in 1980.
