The wave of success surrounding Saiyaara is showing no signs of slowing down. The romantic musical, which introduced Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda to the big screen, has emerged as one of the most unexpected triumphs of 2025, surging to ₹220.75 crore in just nine days. With momentum on its side and packed theatres across the country, the film is now eyeing the coveted ₹300 crore mark.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara has not only captivated audiences with its emotional storytelling and fresh pairing but is also reshaping the box office narrative this year. Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava remains the top grosser of 2025 so far, but Saiyaara has quickly claimed the second spot, a remarkable feat for a film headlined by newcomers.
Industry insiders are calling Saiyaara a “word-of-mouth blockbuster.” After a strong opening week, the film posted an even bigger second Saturday collection, ₹27 crore, eclipsing its first Saturday’s figures. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, in a post on X, called it a “major force” and praised the rare growth pattern. “There’s just no stopping this blockbuster,” he wrote, emphasizing how rare it is for a film’s second Saturday to outperform the first.

The film’s Friday-Saturday total in Week 2 stands at ₹45.5 crore, pushing the overall domestic nett to ₹220.75 crore. A significant chunk of this has come from repeat audiences and a growing fan base in both metro and non-metro cities.
Despite being well into its second week, Saiyaara continues to dominate show listings. Delhi NCR leads the charts with 1,347 shows, followed by Mumbai (961), Ahmedabad (768), Surat (496), and Pune (448). The strong presence in cities outside the major metros suggests a deeper nationwide connect, likely driven by the film’s emotional core and musical appeal.
For Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara has done more than just offer a launchpad, it has turned them into overnight stars. Backed by Yash Raj Films, the duo’s performances have struck a chord with viewers, especially younger audiences who have embraced the film’s themes of love, loss, and memory.
