A picture collage is doing rounds on social media which draws a Before and After comparison at Mumbai’s Versova beach.
The text on the text read: “It took 96 weeks and thousands of volunteers to clean up Versova Beach in Mumbai, India. The payoff? Hundreds of thousands of sea turtles hatching this week. First time in decades. Anything can be cleaned!”

FACT CHECK
When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post we found it to be misleading.
On putting both the picture individually through Reverse Image Search, we found that the picture of sea turtles is NOT from Mumbai’s Versova beach.
We came across an article by The Indian Tribune dated April 12th, 2016 which featured the same picture of sea turtles.
On digging further we found that the picture was originally belongs to the VSPCA (Visakha Society for protection and care of animals). According to an article on the VSPCA official website, sea turtles in the above picture are found on the eastern coast of India while the Versova beach is on the Western coast of India.
Hence the above information proves that the viral comparison collage is misleading.
