Spider-Man: Brand New Day Breaks Global Records With $1 Billion In Just 6 Days

Date:

New Delhi: Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues its record-breaking run at the box office, crossing the Rs 300-crore nett (gross minus taxes) mark in India on Day 6 while also becoming the second-fastest film in history to cross $1 billion worldwide, behind only Avengers: Endgame.

According to trade website Sacnilk, the film has grossed Rs 10,925 crore worldwide, including Rs 362.61 crore gross in India and Rs 6,650 crore from overseas markets. Its India nett collection now stands at Rs 303.25 crore after six days, with the film achieving these numbers across 1,03,573 shows.

According to Sacnilk, Spider-Man: Brand New Day earned an estimated Rs 21.50 crore nett on Day 6, taking its India nett total to Rs 303.25 crore. The film is now on track to cross the Rs 400-crore gross milestone in the coming days.

After an extended opening weekend collection of Rs 257.95 crore nett, the film maintained a strong hold during the weekdays. It collected Rs 23.80 crore on Monday before earning another Rs 21.50 crore on Tuesday, registering a 9.7 per cent drop.

The Hindi dubbed version has emerged as one of the biggest highlights of the film’s theatrical run. The Day 6 language-wise collections (nett) are as follows:

* English: Rs 11.50 crore
* Hindi: Rs 8 crore
* Tamil: Rs 1.20 crore
* Telugu: Rs 75 lakh
* Kannada and Malayalam: Rs 5 lakh (Combined)
* Total: Rs 21.50 crore

While the English version remained the biggest contributor, the Hindi version reportedly recorded an 82 per cent occupancy, reflecting the film’s popularity across mass markets.

According to IMDb, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the second-fastest film to cross the $1 billion mark, behind only Avengers: Endgame, which achieved the milestone in five days.

The fastest films to reach $1 billion globally are:

1. Avengers: Endgame – 5 days
2. Spider-Man: Brand New Day – 6 days
3. Avengers: Infinity War – 11 days
4. Ne Zha 2 – 12 days
5. Star Wars: The Force Awakens – 12 days
6. Spider-Man: No Way Home – 12 days
7. Jurassic World – 13 days
8. Avatar: The Way of Water – 14 days
9. Zootopia 2 – 17 days
10. Furious 7 – 17 days

The Marvel blockbuster is now closing in on the biggest Hollywood box office records in India. Avatar: The Way of Water remains the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India with around Rs 483 crore gross, followed by Avengers: Endgame with approximately Rs 438 crore gross.

Having already collected Rs 362.61 crore gross in India within six days, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now within striking distance of both records.

Industry trackers believe the film could surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home to become the highest-grossing Spider-Man film of all time. If its current pace continues, it also has a realistic chance of becoming the first Spider-Man movie to cross $2 billion (approximately Rs 17,500 crore) worldwide.

With a worldwide gross of Rs 10,925 crore already collected, Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues its remarkable run at the global box office.
