Every year, thousands of Shah Rukh Khan fans from across India gather outside his iconic Mumbai residence, Mannat, hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar waving from his balcony on his birthday. But this year, fans will return home disappointed, as the actor was unable to meet them in person on his 60th birthday.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Shah Rukh Khan announced that he had been advised by authorities not to step out and greet his fans due to crowd control and safety concerns. He also revealed that Mannat is currently undergoing renovation, which made hosting large gatherings difficult.
“Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me,” Shah Rukh tweeted. “My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues. Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will.”

The actor spent his milestone birthday away from the spotlight, celebrating quietly in Alibaug with his family and close friends, including Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Rani Mukerji.
The superstar had already gifted his fans something special, the teaser of his upcoming action thriller, “King.” The glimpse of the film, packed with action and SRK’s signature magnetism, sent the internet into a frenzy.
