The 30-share BSE Sensex ended flat on Tuesday, at 38,285.75, while the Nifty 50 ended 19.15 points higher at 11,570.90.

In intraday trade, the Sensex rose 124.21 points to a fresh record high of 38,402.96 and the Nifty 50 gained 30 points to an all-time high of 11,581.75 but trimmed gains to close marginally higher on Tuesday following mixed cues from global markets. European stocks rose with US equity futures tracking gains by most Asian shares.
