New York: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s reported wedding at Madison Square Garden has drawn attention not only because of the celebrity couple but also due to its estimated cost. Reports suggest the ceremony is expected to take place on July 3 following a rehearsal dinner on July 2, with industry experts estimating the overall celebration could cost between $15 million and $20 million.
The reported budget has generated widespread interest as preparations continue at the iconic New York venue. While neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the wedding plans, multiple reports indicate that Madison Square Garden has been transformed for what could become one of the most expensive celebrity weddings in recent years.
According to luxury wedding experts, hiring Madison Square Garden alone reportedly costs around $1 million per night, as previously reported by TMZ. Beyond the venue, large-scale production expenses are expected to significantly increase the total cost.
CNN reported that premium lighting for luxury weddings can cost between $150,000 and $300,000, while an anonymous wedding planner estimated that floral arrangements and décor for an event of this scale could exceed $1 million.
Combined with security, catering, entertainment and production, industry estimates place the total celebration between $15 million and $20 million.
Luxury wedding designer Tracy Taylor Ward told CNN that New York is a fitting location for the couple because it represents both music and sport. She said the venue reflects Swift’s connection to the city and Kelce’s sporting background.
Speculation surrounding the reported wedding intensified after preparations were seen inside Madison Square Garden. A video circulating on social media appeared to show a baby grand piano being wheeled into the venue, while Variety reported that equipment labelled “garden party” and “GAZ,” believed to refer to a gazebo, was spotted during unloading.
Although no official guest list has been released, the reported ceremony is expected to attract several high-profile names. Ed Sheeran has been widely reported as a likely attendee, while sightings of Sabrina Carpenter in New York have fuelled further speculation. Camila Cabello, Selena Gomez, Suki Waterhouse and Gigi Hadid have also been linked to the reported celebrations.
With the rehearsal reportedly scheduled for July 2 and the wedding expected on July 3, attention remains focused on Madison Square Garden.
