New York: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly set to celebrate their wedding festivities at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 2 and 3, 2026. While the couple have not commented publicly, multiple media reports have detailed the reported schedule for the celebrations.
The New York Times previously reported that the celebrations would take place over the July 4 weekend. A law enforcement official briefed on the security plans also confirmed to the Associated Press that a rehearsal dinner is scheduled for the night of July 2, while the wedding ceremony is expected to take place on the night of July 3 (EST).
On Wednesday, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch also referred to the event at Madison Square Garden without providing further details.
“I would be remiss not to mention an event that we are tracking at Madison Square Garden on Friday night,” she said, adding, “The NYPD will, of course, have a detail in place, but I am not going to go into more specifics on that at this time.”
According to CBS, the rehearsal dinner on July 2 will be held at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, with around 100 guests expected. The event is scheduled from 6:00 pm EST until 10:30 pm EST.
For July 3, CBS reported that about 1,000 guests are expected to attend. The cocktail hour is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm EST on the arena’s sixth-floor concourse, while the reception is expected to continue from 6:30 pm until 2:00 am EST.
The report also stated that around 500 vehicles are expected to transport guests. Details of the wedding ceremony itself remain unknown.
Dora Pekec, a spokesperson for the New York City mayor’s office, previously confirmed to the BBC that a street closure permit had been requested near the arena for the July 4 holiday weekend. The New York Times also reported that several players from Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs team had booked nearby hotel rooms.
George Kittle, one of Kelce’s close friends, said he had “no idea” about the celebrations. He told Entertainment Tonight, “I actually asked Travis last night and he laughed at me, so… I’m half expecting there just to be a jumbo jet on the runway and they put us on a plane somewhere. I don’t have expectations, I know it’s going to be amazing.”

The reported dress code is black tie, with top hats for men and long gloves for women. According to Deuxmoi, the evening will be a “magical midsummer night.” Guests are also expected to undergo extensive security screening under a strict no-phones policy.
Workers have been seen making deliveries at Madison Square Garden in recent days. Boxes labelled “branches,” a truck marked “Garden Party” and “GP,” stage equipment, lighting gear and what appeared to be a baby grand piano were all spotted arriving at the venue. Workers were also seen unrolling a red carpet outside the arena before rolling it back.

Despite the preparations, some fans continue to speculate that the reported event could be a distraction and that Taylor Swift may instead choose to marry in a private ceremony away from the spotlight.
