A video of a minor car explosion is making rounds on social media and it is claimed that the incident took place in Pune when a woman sprayed perfume in the car while her husband was smoking.
The video was uploaded on a Facebook page CCTV in PUNE.
The caption with the picture read: “There was a couple in a car. The lady sprayed perfume on her body. The man next to her was smoking… causing an explosion! With the fire burning, and the door couldn’t be opened to escape, the two were charred to death; advised ladies/gents not to use perfume-spray inside the car when someone smoking or anywhere near fire-site, like, kitchen, havan, open-fire, etc.”

At the time of filing this report, the video had got over 1.6 million views and it was shared by over 25,000 people.
Several other pages and users shared the same video.
FACT CHECK
Team of fact-checkers at NewsMobile checked the viral video and found that the claims attached to the video are FAKE.
On putting the different frames of the video, we found that viral video is originally from China and the incident took place in March 2019.

On further digging, we also found that the reason for the fire was not the perfume, according to reports, the van was carrying gas cylinders which led to the explosion.
Hence, this proves that the claims in the above posts are FAKE.
