Elon Musk, the tech billionaire, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the US, bringing along his partner Shivon Zilis and their two children, twins Azure and Strider, as well as X, Musk’s child with his ex-partner Grimes. The meeting took place at Blair House in Washington and marked Zilis’s second public appearance with Musk in the past six months.
Who is Shivon Zilis?
Shivon Zilis, 39, hails from Canada and is a Yale University graduate. Her mother, Sharda N, is Indian, and her father, Richard Zilis, is Canadian.
Zilis holds the role of Director of Operations and Special Projects at Neuralink, Musk’s brain chip company. She worked as a project director at Tesla from 2017 to 2019 and has also advised Sam Altman’s OpenAI. Additionally, she was one of the founding members of Bloomberg Beta’s investment team and led nine investments since its launch.
In 2015, she made it to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for venture capitalists and was named in LinkedIn’s 35 Under 35.
Zilis is known to be Musk’s partner. They had twins, Azure and Strider, in 2021, the same year Musk had another child with his ex, Grimes. In 2024, the couple had a third child. Though they’ve never publicly confirmed their relationship, reports suggest that Zilis has moved into Musk’s Texas estate, where he lives with his 11 children.
The pair were seen together in November at a gala at President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate, with Zilis staying in the background while Musk posed for photos with their daughter Azure.
