New Delhi: In a recent development, Dr. Sumit Seth who is currently the Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Panama has been assigned the additional role of Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Nicaragua.
Dr. Seth is expected to take up the assignment shortly. He is a 2005 batch Indian Foreign Service Officer (IFS).
Dr. Seth has previously held the Joint Secretary position at the Ministry of External Affairs. He has also served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Yangon, Myanmar.
Prior to joining the diplomatic career, Seth worked as a medical doctor, specialising in Forensic Medicine and Medical Jurisprudence.
