With a keyword search, our team found the same video shared by NDTV on X, dated September 18, 2023. The post reads: “A temple in Bengaluru has decorated its premises with coins and currency notes worth lakhs. Every year, Sri Sathya Ganapathy Temple gives a unique touch to its decoration during Ganesh Chaturthi.”
On searching further, we found a report by Midday India, dated September 18, carrying a video titled: “Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: Bengaluru Temple Decked Up With Currency Worth Lakhs, Devotees Stunned.”
The video description reads: “Sri Sathya Ganapathi Temple in Puttenahalli, JP Nagar, has adorned its premises with Indian currency notes and coins this Ganesh Chaturthi 2023. Along with coins, the embellishments feature ₹500, ₹200, ₹100, ₹50, ₹20, and ₹10 notes. A large number of devotees visited the temple…”

Thus, from the above fact check, it is clear that the video is not of a wedding reception, but from a temple in Bengaluru.
