Soon after India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, a dramatic video showing multiple explosions began circulating on social media. Many Users claim that it is India’s retaliation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad.
The caption accompanying the viral video reads: “Breaking News: Multiple explosions reported in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Locals claim missile strikes targeting grid stations. Situation tense.”

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found the claim to be Misleading.
Analysing the video keyframe through Reverse Image Search, NewsMobile traced the footage to an older post on X (formerly Twitter) by Kabul News (@kabulnewstv), dated October 23, 2023. The post clearly states that the video depicts Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, not any action by Indian forces.

Thus, we can conclusively say that the viral video is not from Muzaffarabad and has no connection to Operation Sindoor.
