FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be misleading.
Putting the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, the NM team identified the same video uploaded on YouTube, dated February 26, 2023. As per its title, it was taken in Al-Dana, a town in northern Syria. The Google translation of the title reads: “Watched – The stability of worshipers during an earthquake in the city of Dana, northern countryside of Idlib.”
Other media reports have also carried the same video, mentioning that it is the security footage inside Al-Farouq Mosque in the town of Al-Dana in the Idlib countryside during a 6.4-magnitude in Syria.
