Amid the ongoing assembly elections, a few pictures and videos of PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath offering prayers at a mausoleum are doing rounds on social media with a claim that they were taken recently.

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the pictures to be old.
A simple reverse image search on the pictures took us to an article by TOI dated June 28, 2018. “ PM Narendra Modi offers chadar at Sant Kabir’s mazar” the headline of the report read.
We found the other picture in an NDTV report from 2018. The headline of the report read, “PM Modi Pays Homage, Offers ‘Chadar’ At Kabir’s Mausoleum.”
According to the report Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered ‘chadar’ at the ‘mazar’ of Sant Kabir Das in UP’s Mazhar to mark the 500th death anniversary of the poet.
Hence, it is clear that the visuals are from 2018 and have no relation to the ongoing elections.
