A video showing small children reciting verses of Quran is going viral on social media. It claims that the teachers of Congress -JD(S) run state, Karnataka, are forcing Hindu kids to recite Islamic prayers.
The caption reads – कर्नाटक में jds ओर कांग्रेस सरकार मिलकर हिन्दू बच्चों को नमाज पढ़ने के लिए मजबूर करतें हुए टिचर ।। कया अभी कोगेस जेसी गद्दार सोचवाली पाटी को सपौट करना चाहिए । हर ग्रुप में शेयर करना है बहुत ही गंभीर विषय है इस और ध्यान देना ही होगा।👇 ( In Karnataka, Congress and JD(S) government are forcing Hindu students to learn Namaz. The video was also shared extensively on Twitter and Facebook.

Fact check
Previously, the same video was circulated in July 2018 with the same claim. BOOM, in a report, published on July 3, 2018, identified the school as Vidyadeep Vidyalaya, a kindergarten school in Shivamogga district of Karnataka.
The principal of the school, Arathi Janardhan, told BOOM that though the video is authentic, it is not the complete truth. She explained that the children were taught verses from other religious texts also.
“For Environment Day we conducted a program where all the kindergarten students recited verses from all the three religious books. Since this was a success we thought of doing it again for Independence Day and the video shows us practising for the same,” Janardhan is quoted as saying by BOOM.
The report also contained a second video, in which, the children can be seen reciting Sanskrit Shloks
The school itself as verifies that though the video is authentic, the claims accompanying is absolutely false and hence, should not be believed.
