Security Forces Foil Infiltration Bid In J&K’s Kupwara, Two Terrorists Killed

Kupwara: Security forces on Thursday successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation resulted in the killing of two terrorists. The Anti-infiltration operations is still ongoing in the area.

Earlier in a separate incident, two Indian Army soldiers were injured during an encounter with terrorists in the Kastigarh area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir. The soldiers received initial treatment at a government hospital in Doda and were subsequently airlifted to an Army hospital for further care.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ramban-Doda Range, Shridhar Patil, visited the encounter site at Kashtigarh in Doda. Patil briefed reporters, stating that the operation is ongoing.

This encounter follows a tragic incident earlier in the week where four army soldiers, including an officer, were killed while battling terrorists in the Doda district.
