Dallas: A shooting at a shopping centre north of Dallas, Texas, left two people dead and three others injured on Tuesday, police said.
According to Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo, the attack was not random, and the victims knew the gunman. He said the incident appeared to involve a business-related meeting, though the exact motive remains under investigation. “It was a known business relationship. We are still working through trying to identify his causes,” Arredondo stated.
Police identified the suspect as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho, who was arrested after a brief foot chase about 4 miles (6 km) away at a grocery store. Authorities have not confirmed whether he has legal representation.
The shooting occurred at K Towne Plaza in Carrollton, an area known as Koreatown. Officers with drawn weapons were seen at the scene, while FBI agents also joined local law enforcement in collecting evidence.
Community members expressed shock, calling it an unusual tragedy for the generally peaceful neighbourhood.
