Comcast’s cable division is facing a lawsuit over allegations that a US store manager were subjected to a humiliating workplace ritual based on monthly sales performance. According to the complaint, the lowest-performing salesperson was tied to a chair before a cream pie was forcefully smashed into their face.
The lawsuit claims store manager Sully Fuentes Peterson created the practice and instructed employees to take part in the incident and record videos of it.
Plaintiff David Figueroa, who joined the company as a retail sales consultant on February 2, 2026, alleged the ritual was introduced to improve sales and customer survey results. He resigned on February 27, claiming he was forced to leave because of the workplace environment.
The complaint also accuses Comcast of negligence, alleging the company failed to properly supervise store management and should have known about the alleged conduct. It further claims the company’s lack of oversight allowed employees to be publicly humiliated to increase sales and profits.
