Washington DC: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a series of high-level meetings with senior United States officials during a three-day visit to Washington, focusing on developments in the Indo-Pacific and West Asia while reviewing bilateral defence and trade cooperation.
At the Pentagon, Misri met Elbridge Colby, Under Secretary of Defence for Policy. The Indian Embassy in the US said in a post on X that the discussions were aimed at “sustaining the momentum of India-US defence exchanges.”
The embassy added that Misri had “another wide-ranging conversation” with Colby, covering ongoing developments in the Indo-Pacific region and West Asia.
Continuing the focus on defence cooperation, Misri also held talks with Mike Duffey, Under Secretary of Defence for Acquisition and Sustainment. The embassy described the meeting on X as a “fruitful interaction,” focusing on defence industrial ties, technology sharing and supply chain integration under the India-US Major Defence Partnership framework.
In engagements at the Department of Commerce, Misri met Jeffrey Kessler and William Kimmitt to expand cooperation in commercial sectors and critical technologies.

Separately, AP Singh, currently on an official visit to the US, visited Peterson Space Force Base, where he met Gregory M Guillot, Commander of US Northern Command.
According to the Indian Air Force, the interaction enabled both sides to exchange views on operational issues and the growing partnership, underscoring deepening strategic alignment between India and the United States.
