An oft-repeated claim that it is ‘Allah-Army-America’ that rules Pakistan has once again been proved right the Pakistan Army taking charge in battling the spread of the deadly Coronavirus as Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan watches on helplessly.
Pakistan presently has over 12,000 cases and it is evident that the Army has lost patience with the civilian government.
Pakistan has also run out of PPE supplies.

While Khan recently announced that a state of lockdown cannot be enforced due to millions of lives being affected, DG (ISPR) Major General Babar Ifthikar announced that a state of lockdown will be enforced across the country very next day.
This is being considered as a case where the selectors are unhappy with the Selected PM. Imran Khan is referred to as the ‘Selected PM’ by his critics who point out that the 2018 elections were rigged by the army in his favour.
A set of 20 restrictions have been enforced in Pakistan by the Army especially during the period of Ramzan. These remain largely non-enforceable.
A group of clerics threatened the civilian government against shutting down mosques.
The Pakistan government has handed over the control to the Rangers and the Pakistan Army, as the situation completely deteriorates in Karachi and Islamabad.
With more than 5,600 cases, the prized province of Punjab has close to half of the total cases in Pakistan.
