Atlanta: Cyber criminals are grabbing videos of victim’s computer usage to hack and steal bank information. According to a Security report published by Dell Secure Works, customers of more than 900 banks and other financial institutions in more than 65 nations had been targeted by the largest banking botnets.
The report gives details of the activities of eight bank crime networks, out of which five bank botnets can constantly grab images to build movies of user activity. This is then utilised to extract bank details, log-in ids and passwords.
Dr Brett Stone-Gross, Senior researcher at Dell said the videos could also show thieves how to negotiate through the steps required to move money around commercial banking networks, aiding the biggest thefts.
