Dr. Vivek Lall Appointed Honorary Fellow At Cambridge Judge Business School

Dr. Vivek Lall, the Chief Executive of General Atomics Global Corporation, has been appointed as an Honorary Fellow (Visiting) at the prestigious Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, effective from May 1, 2025. The official letter of appointment is dated April 30, 2025.

Dr. Lall’s appointment at Cambridge is a recognition of his exceptional contributions to the fields of aerospace, defense, and global security. He leads General Atomics Global Corporation, a company renowned for its advanced unmanned aircraft (Predator, Reaper, Guardian), electro-optical systems, radar technologies, and pioneering work in nuclear fusion research. His leadership has been pivotal in the company’s expansion across five continents.

Beyond his role at General Atomics, Dr. Lall has a distinguished career in academia and global policy advisory. He is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and a Non-Resident Scholar at George Washington University’s Space Policy Institute. His insights on advanced space technologies and global security policies are highly valued.

Dr. Lall has also served on advisory boards of several global organisations, including the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), the Quad Investors Network announced by The White House, the NATO Science and Technology Organisation, and the US Chamber of Commerce.

His academic credentials are equally remarkable. Dr. Lall holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University, Canada, a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University, Kansas, and an MBA from City University in Seattle.

Dr. Lall’s contributions have been recognised with numerous international honours, including the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the US President, the World Leader Award from the House of Lords (UK), and the Grand Cross by His Highness Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf. Forbes magazine featured him on its cover in January 2025, acknowledging his leadership in global aerospace and defense.

His appointment at Cambridge Judge Business School is expected to strengthen the institution’s global connections further and enrich its academic environment.
