Gautam Adani has emerged as the richest individual in Asia, overtaking Mukesh Ambani, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Adani’s net worth is estimated at $92.6 billion, slightly ahead of Ambani’s $90.8 billion.
The shift follows a rise in Adani Group stocks, with several companies recording gains during the latest trading session. Shares of Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, Adani Green Energy, and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone all moved higher, contributing to the increase in overall wealth.
Ambani had held the top position in Asia for several years before this change. Both business leaders remain among the world’s top 20 richest individuals.
However, rankings are subject to frequent changes as they depend on stock market performance and business valuations.
Adani Group’s operations span infrastructure, energy, and logistics, while Reliance Industries has a strong presence in energy, telecom, and retail.
