New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Australia on Wednesday for the second leg of his three-nation visit and received a ceremonial welcome at the airport.

During his three-day visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and interact with members of the Indian diaspora.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “I look forward to the talks with Prime Minister Albanese, I will also have the opportunity to interact with the Indian diaspora, which is an important pillar of our partnership.”

Members of the Indian community gathered to welcome the Prime Minister with cultural performances after his arrival. The celebrations also featured chants of “Vande Mataram”, “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Modi, Modi”.
Ahead of the visit, members of the Indian diaspora expressed excitement and said they expect the visit to further strengthen ties between India and Australia.
Lucky Singh, a member of the Indian diaspora, said Prime Minister Modi’s visit would help deepen bilateral relations between the two countries.
