New Delhi: Two Indian nationals have gone missing after a merchant vessel was struck at the port of Odesa in Ukraine. The ship, MG AGN Ragnar, had four Indian nationals on board at the time of the incident.
According to the Indian Embassy in Ukraine, two of the four Indian nationals have been confirmed safe, while information about the remaining two is still awaited. Search and rescue operations are currently underway, and the embassy said it is in contact with the concerned authorities.
“Four Indian nationals were on board the vessel. As per the latest information, two have been confirmed safe, and information is awaited regarding the other two nationals.”
The embassy also shared emergency contact details for those requiring consular assistance.
This comes days after another attack at the Odesa port on July 19, in which four Indian nationals lost their lives and one was left in critical condition after the ship MV Golden Leo was hit.
