Baywatch trailer: The Rock and Efron everywhere, but not a sight of Priyanka!

Date:

It’s finally here. After months of teases, set images, GIFs and leaked photos, the first trailer for Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood debut Baywatch was released online on Thursday.

And surprise, surprise: Priyanka Chopra’s in it for a grand total of one shot. And she isn’t even running in slow motion. To save you the trouble, we’ve pulled the shot out for you here:

But moving beyond that, the trailer itself looks quite good. They seem to be going for a 21 Jump Street vibe here, and since Baywatch, like Jump Street, is a reboot of a classic TV show, that isn’t too radical an idea.

The R-rated (equivalent to A certificate) humour will have to wait until we get a red-band trailer, but there are more than enough glimpses of it here, especially in the banter between The Rock and Zac Efron’s characters.

Baywatch opens on May 26, 2017. It is directed by Horrible Bosses’ Seth Gordon and also stars Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera, Kelly Rohrbach and others.
