Washington: A new app turns images of an iOS device into beautiful watercolour paintings. The Waterlogue app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, offers a variety of styles to create desired painting affect to photos.

According to Cnet, the Waterlogue app provides 12 watercolour styles, which work similar as Instagram filters and with each style chosen, a small preview thumbnail appears and lets users to compare the look. The app also offers four brush stroke sizes to choose from, brightness controls, and the option to add borders.

Tapping on the heart button allows for sharing on varied social networks like Instagram, Facebook, etc. The $2.99 app also offers users the option to save the images as either JPEG or PNG, and also select a default image size.
