The sun-kissed sands of Antigua to the pristine waters of Tanzania, the world has plenty of beaches to captivate your heart. We look at some of the best beaches around the globe to spend lazy vacations in.  

Whitehaven, Whitsunday Islands, Queensland, Australia

There are dozens of candidates for the mantle of Australia´s best beach, but for picture-postcard, sheer drop-dead gorgeousness Whitehaven is pretty special. Imagine super-fine, white silica sand surrounded by warm, clear, azure waters sandwiched between tropical forests with various islands dotted around in the distance.

El Nido, Philippines

Located in the breath-taking province of Palawan. Home to long stretches of white sand, gem-clear waters, the beaches of El Nido will definitely captivate your heart. El Nido is one of the top tourist destinations in the Philippines, but completely without the noisy nightlife and teeming tourists of Boracay. Enjoy the lovely lagoons framed by marble cliffs, verdant jungles and mangrove forests, and dramatic waterfalls.

Nungwi, Zanzibar, Tanzania

The island of Zanzibar is the jewel of the east-African coast, with its spice trade, labyrinthine old Stone Town and, of course, around 30 beaches, nearly all of which are to die for. One of the best is Nungwi, near the northern tip of the island. The coastline has a shallow slope so the sapphire water, white sand and coral build-ups forming a calm sea which stretches for miles and is home to thousands of marine animals. Dotted with tiny fishing villages that have barely changed in centuries, the Zanzibar coastline has a dreamy timeless air.

Long Bay Beach, St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda

You can visit a different beach each day in the Caribbean island. Long bay beach, Antigua’s generally calm and turquoise waters, perfect for snorkelling and swimming. You’ll find coral reefs in water so shallow that you can actually walk out to them. Along the beach are the Long Bay Hotel and the rambling Allegro Resort Pineapple Beach.

Agonda Beach, Goa, India

Serene, tranquill beach, far from the madding crowd of North Goa beaches. Ideal place for meditation, sun worshiping or reading. The beach in South of Goa is pristine. It is good because it is quite and clean and very long. You can walk along the beach and along the road behind the resort where you can look the shop

El Nido, Philippines

Ko Yung is perfect for those who want to explore the underwater treasures of Thailand. Found in the Ko Phi Phi archipelago, Ko Yung is relatively pristine, with its beaches and reefs untouched by years of heavy tourism. Perfect place to see leopard sharks, dazzling coral reefs up-close.
