No textbook out of my struggles: PM

Date:

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that lessons from his life struggle should not be included in the school curriculum. The remarks came after the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Madhya Pradesh unit was considering including lessons from Modi’s life in the curriculum.

Modi said, “My life’s struggle should not be included in school curriculum.”

He tweeted, “India has a rich history of several stalwarts who made India what it is today. Young minds should read about these greats and emulate them. I am reading in the news that some states want to include Narendra Modi’s life struggles as a part of their school curriculum. I firmly believe that the life story of living individuals should not be included as a part of the school curriculum.”

Not just Madhya Pradesh, primary school students of Gujarat will also learn “leadership” lessons from the life of Modi, since the state government has decided to include it in the syllabus from next year.
