Modi picks PMO bright spark as key aide

New Delhi: Rajeev Topno has been appointed Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Topno, a 1996-batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer, will replace I S Chaturvedi. In Manmohan Singh’s PMO, Topno handled key portfolios like telecom and ports. Topno was looking after matters related to key appointments in the past two weeks.
