Gurgaon: The first citizen of the country, President Pranab Mukherjee, ensured that he didn’t inconvenience the Gurgaon residents when he visited the millennium city on Saturday.
If the President would have decided to drive down from Rashtrapati Bhavan in the capital it would have been an easy ride but would have ensured that the route along the way would have been sealed for the President’s convoy and would have brought the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway to a standstill.
Mukherjee, instead, took a short chopper ride. He visited Medanta, the medicity and was received at the helipad constructed in the adjoining Tao Devi Lal Stadium by the Deputy Commissioner Shekhar Vidyarthi besides senior officials including the Divisional Commissioner and Police Commissioner Alok Mittal.Â
