Amma meets Arnie in Chennai

Chennai: Hollywood actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger met Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa in Chennai on Monday.

The Terminator actor, who was in Chennai in connection with the audio launch of a Tamil movie, met Jayalalithaa at the state secretariat in the afternoon. The meeting lasted for 20 minutes.

Sources said Schwarzenegger, who had heard about Jayalalithaa, wanted to meet the chief minister, and his team had sent a request to the chief minister’s office several days ago.

After the meeting, Schwarzenegger obliged to the waiting cameramen and posed for pictures. However, he didn’t speak to reporters and left for the audio launch of the Vikram-starrer “I”.

The details of his conversation with the chief minister were not available. It was not clear if he had told her, “I’ll be back.”
