Washington: Apple has been forced to delay the launch of its HealthKit fitness apps for its long-awaited iOS 8 due to a software bug,
An Apple representative said the company was working to develop a solution in the next couple of weeks.
Being a key feature of the iPhone-maker’s new iOS 8, HealthKit is expected to play an important role when the Apple Watch launches next year.
Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said in a statement that the company discovered the bug that prevents them from making HealthKit apps available on iOS 8.
The company said it was working quickly to have the bug fixed in a software update and have HealthKit apps available by the end of the month, the report added.
