Man with fake currency held at Patna railway station

Lucknow: Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Uttar Pradesh, in a joint operation with their counterparts in Bihar, on Thursday arrested one person from Patna Railway Station carrying fake currency notes worth Rs 7.5 lakh.

“Following inputs that one person carrying fake currency notes would be arriving at the Patna station from Malda (West Bengal, ATS team of Varanasi contacted their counterparts in Bihar and made the arrest”, police here said.

The arrested person, identified as Jitendra, belonging to Gopalganj in Bihar was found carrying 300 notes in the denomination of Rs 1000, and 900 notes of Rs 500 denomination, police said, adding that a case has been registered and further investigations were on.
