11 bombs recovered in Madurai

Madurai: The Tamil Nadu police on Monday recovered 11 bombs from a garbage bin of Anna Nagar on the Anna Nagar East Main Road in Madurai in Tamil Nadu on Monday evening.

A woman, who woman came to dump garbage, spotted a red colour bag. She opened it and found bombs in it.  On being alerted, the Madurai city police reached the spot and recovered the bombs.

According to initial reports, police personals are inspecting the spot and have also called in the bomb squad team. The entire area has been cordoned-off and police have restricted the movement of traffic in this area.

However, as per some unconfirmed reports, it is yet to be known that the recovered bombs are crude or Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in nature.
