Israel to set up 10 centres of excellence in India to help farmers

Date:

Gandhinagar: Israel Agriculture Minister Yair Shamir said that Israel will set up ten centres of excellence in India to help farmers improve their output with better technology. Shamir signed the agreement just before his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shamir added Israel could help India a lot. Vibrant Gujarat, held every two years, has yielded billions of dollars in investment promises but only a fraction of the deals announced have come to fruition.

Modi aims to lift stagnant capital investment that has held back India’s growth to 5.3%.
