Amar Singh questioned Sunandas son next in probe

New Delhi: The Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Delhi Police, probing the Sunanda Pushkar murder case, questioned Amar Singh on Wednesday for two long hours at an undisclosed location. The SIT earlier summoned the former Parliamenterian over certain claims made by him regarding the case.

Amar Singh had revealed that Sunanda called him two days before her death and spoke regarding the IPL fiasco.

Singh also claimed that days before her death, Sunanda broke down in front of him and claimed she wanted to come clean on the entire IPL controversy.

According to sources the SIT team questioned Singh on the IPL angle and asked over 20 questions. 

Sources also revealed, that SIT was probing the angle of the ownership pattern of IPL team Kochi Tuskars and Sunanda’s involvement in the team.

The cops want to know if Sunanda was the front for Shashi Tharoor when she received Rs 75 crore sweat equity from a franchisee involved in the Kochi team.

Credible sources also informed that the Delhi Police also sought help from the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) to probe the payment pattern of Rs 75 crore. 

Earlier, two journalists had deposed before the SIT and confessed that Sunanda had called them up before her murder and told them about exposing Shashi Tharoor and “having taken over his crimes during the IPL”.

According to informed sources the SIT is also set to question Sunanda’s son Shiv Menon in the coming days.
