I announce my resignation from primary membership of Congress: Natarajan

Date:

Chennai: Former Environment Minister and former senior Congress leader Jayanthi Natarajan on Friday announced her resignation from the primary membership of Congress.

At a formal press conference in Chennai, Natarajan said that it is not the same Congress that she had joined anymore.

She added that she has no issues with State party and that she was sidelined by the National High Command.

She further said that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had stopped her from issuing environmental clearances to several projects; however, after she resigned Gandhi himself said at a FICCI conference that environmental clearances would be made easy now.
