Angry owner donates his Duster for garbage disposal

Date:

New Delhi: To what extent would someone go to make his problem heard? For a disgruntled customer, there are limited options to get their problems solved.

After waiting for more than 200 days to get his Renault Duster’s electric and air-con issues fixed, this man did something out of the box.

Rajesh Pareta, a businessman from Kota, ‘donated’ his troublesome compact SUV to the local Morak Station Gram Panchayat on the condition that it would be used as a garbage collection vehicle.

What’s more? The ill-fated Duster (now a Dustbin) reads “Gram Panchayat Morak Station Kachra Patra Vahan” in bold on its hood and doors – the handiwork of the owner himself.

Pareta said he faced technical issues from the very first day he bought the vehicle, and when Renault couldn’t fix the issues even after keeping the car in the workshop for 200 days, Pareta finally took some drastic measures.

This incident is a throwback to a similar stunt from Ahmedabad last year, where an angry Jaguar owner had arranged for donkeys to pull his XF sedan to the local JLR dealership.

Usually companies do not take their customers seriously, but when the customer gets real serious, it can cause huge damage to the reputation of the brand.

Renault is currently in the process of expanding its network and such incidents are bound to create a huge dent to the brand.
