“Bengaluru Hackers who r interested in working against Cyber Crimes may send their CV to dcpcarbcp@ksp.gov.in #EthicalHackersWithPolice,” Goyal tweeted.

Bengaluru, also known as India’s IT capital, saw as many as 399 registered cases of cybercrime in 2013, the highest ever in India.

However, Goyal was quick to tweet that Bengaluru police called upon hackers to join their cause is not a ‘Government job advertisement’ but is a voluntary job, for a cause to free the society of the growing menace of cybercrimes.
