Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award 2015 for his performance in ‘Happy New Year’.
The event which took place on 21st April at an event in Mumbai saw politician Amar Singh handing over the trophy to the superstar.
Amar Singh showered him with praises and Shah Rukh just couldn’t be happy enough for being awarded the prestigious award.
Also present were Huma Qureshi, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Jaya Pradha, Rajkummar Rao, Jackky Bhagnani, among others.
‘Happy New Year’ directed by Farah Khan released last year during Diwali.
The film broke a number of Box Office records.
Besides SRK, the film also starred Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh recently wrapped up the International schedule of ‘Fan’, has ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Raees’ lined up for this year.
