Baahubali gets KJo muscle power

Hyderabad: ‘Baahubali’ has got the boost that it needed. The much awaited multi-lingual period drama, ‘Baahubali’ now has the support of Bollywood bigwig Karan Johar, who has got on board as a presenter for the film’s Hindi version.

Late at night, the official website of Karan Johar updated a line about the news, making it official.

“Karan Johar presents Baahubali – India’s Largest Motion Picture, directed by S.S.Rajamouli,” read the statement.

He also tweeted: 

With this official announcement, they put an end to the speculation doing rounds for the past few weeks.

The technical details about how much involvement Karan Johar will have in the film is not yet known.

But, according to a source, the ace director bought the Hindi rights for an undisclosed whopping amount. Though no one is talking about the money, this marks the first time that a big Bollywood director and producer like Karan is involved in a Telugu film.

This will give definitely a big boost to director Rajamouli and his team. When contacted, the producer, with movies like ‘Shobhu Yarlagadda’ under his belt confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Karan Johar will be presenting and releasing ‘Baahubali’ in Hindi along with Anil Thadani of AA Films.”
