Summons issued to Radhe Maa in dowry harassment case

Date:

Mumbai/ Bhopal: Mumbai Police issued summons to controversial self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa who has to appear within four days at the Kandivali Police station. Radhe Maa has been summoned for recording her statement in connection with a dowry harassment case.

The summons was issued after police registered an FIR against Radhe Maa and others last week, including the in-laws of a 32-year-old woman who has accused the ‘godwoman’ of instigating her in-laws, who are her followers for many years, to demand dowry from her.

The self-proclaimed ‘Godwoman’ became the talk of the town for her pictures in a short skirt that went viral on social media after which she was accused of ‘obscenity’.

Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in Bhopal against Radhe maa for obscenity and for hurting religious sentiments. However, her followers deny any wrongdoing and said that Radhe maa never takes any money from people but instead believes in donations.
